Telemammography isn’t a phrase familiar to most healthcare professionals. Initially, one might imagine unqualified doctors and unreliable results–essentially a bottom-of-the-barrel service.
It’s not surprising. Radiologists have always been characterized as awkward, with a tendency to limit their exposure to patients and retreat to the dark where they do their readings. And telemedicine is known to sometimes mean glitchy tech and messy processes.
We aim to dispel all these misconceptions, proving that radiologists care about patients. Although some of our workday is in the shadows, we use these shadows to see things that others simply cannot.
